Takahē Postcard

NZ$1.50

This Takahē Postcard from a great backyard shows off the subject of New Zealand’s classic conservation story.

After being thought extinct for 50 years, the takahē was rediscovered in Fiordland in 1948 by Dr. Geoffrey Orbell. Since then then the takahē, a colourful and flightless bird, has been the subject of New Zealand’s longest running endangered species programme.

This large postcard, #29 from our collection, is sized 121mm x 161mm, making it the perfect size to write a note to loved ones back home while you’re on the trip of a lifetime around New Zealand.

We source high-quality card stock for our postcards so they’re easy to write on the back and the image on the front is protected. We’re proud that all of our postcards are printed in Aotearoa New Zealand using environmentally friendly materials which carry the FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) accreditation, and using only vegetable inks derived from 99% vegetable sources.
