These historic maps from the 1920s capture the southern and western suburbs of Auckland as the city spread into the surrounding countryside.

Sheet 7 — Mount Roskill — charts the western suburbs from the established streets of Avondale to the quiet bays of Blockhouse Bay and Wesley Bay. Much of what is now dense suburban Auckland was still open farmland — the sections waiting for a city that hadn't quite arrived yet.

Sheet 8 — One Tree Hill — has One Tree Hill Domain sitting magnificently at its heart, Cornwall Park spreading around it in green, while the Borough of Onehunga lines the Manukau Harbour below.

Sheet 9 — Mount Wellington and Otahuhu — tells the story of the eastern and southern fringes, featuring the Panmure Basin and the Tamaki River winding along the eastern edge.

• All prints will be sent tracked through New Zealand Post until their size limit of 1.5 metres has been reached.

• We crate our largest prints to ensure their safe arrival and use Post Haste or Kiwi Oversize for delivery.
